Sunday was also full of sun, and I went out to Ørestaden to visit Kristiane. We took a long walk around the area where new architecture and nature meets, and it was interesting to see more of this place. Later, I met up with Tine for a drive up the coast with the blue water glimmering. We took a walk in Dyrehaven, one of the most magical places I know. What a truly great weekend!

Kristiane lives in one of the first buildings created in Ørestaden, and she has the most futuristic view!

We walked out past 8-Tallet, which is kind of interesting. I don't know how beautiful I think it is, but it's intriguing.

Next to the building they'd placed all this training equipment that we had to try.

Inside the building was a café with an excellent view - and lots of gray hair!

Dyrehaven was perfectly lit with afternoon sun that cast long shadows.

Tine looked lovely as always.

CPH 01

I spent the weekend in Copenhagen, visiting friends and soaking up the beautiful sun that shone down on us the whole time. I really really enjoy the city now. We've had our differences, but I find myself falling more and more in love with it again. It feels good. So, here's what I did Saturday;

I started the day at Dyrehaven (Sønder Boulevard 72, Vesterbro) with Mette and Iben.

Afterwards, we had coffees to go from Enghave Kaffe (Enghave Plads 3, Vesterbro) - I had a very good flat white! - and went from sunny doorstep to sunny doorstep in the adjacent streets while we talked and laughed.

Definitely a new favourite!

The rest of the day was spent at AnCa's house where we decided to stay in with sushi and sweets and watch bad TV (Basim, seriously?!).

Elsinore

Some of you may already have seen these photos on my Instagram account, but so be it. Tuesday, I went to Elsinore to have my eyes checked - yes, this week has been my last without glasses... - and I was happy to rediscover this little nordic gem. Growing up nearby, I have been to Elsinore (the town of Hamlet) many times, but I've never really noticed how many beautiful old houses the town holds. So colourful, crooked, breathtaking. So I snapped away on my phone and have been sharing them on Instagram ever since. I'm going back next week and hoping for sun: how marvellous would those houses look in bright sunlight... Have a great weekend out there!

Cheap drinks for the Swedes - Elsinore is only a 20 minute boat ride from Helsingborg in Sweden, so the Swedes come over to us to load up on beer and alcohol.

Weekend in Jutland I

My mum's birthday is on Thursday, so she gathered the family this weekend for an early celebration. I made Eggs Benedict for breakfast (people were happy), and I savoured every second of spending time with my family. My brothers and I went for a walk in the nearby nature to calm down a little (sugar rush), and we discovered that it was a great place for taking some of our traditional band photos...
