1000

This is my 1000th post. Which is mildly surreal and not something I thought would happen with this site when I created it back in July 2010. I was 22 and embarking on an adventure. I knew it would change my life to move to Berlin, but I didn't know to what extent, and the blog has been my witness through the last years. I've moved 10 times while I've had the blog, and it's been my visual outlet through insane, almost euphoric happiness, dark months of hurting and sadness, deep confusion, new beginnings, and all those things that happen to you when you travel around and you just are in your mid 20s. The blog has been an incorporated part of my daily life, and even though I have wondered lately whether it was worth keeping it alive, I don't think I can imagine not having this outlet. Not for now anyways. So here's to 1000 rollercoaster posts. I'll repost some of my favourite posts the next few weeks, but for now I just want to say; I'm so happy you read along! I'm kind of curious to know who is following this site, and it would make me thrilled to know a little about who you are; where are you from, what has happened to you the last three years, where are you going?

I admit I'm very much a newcomer but I'm sure I'll be staying around. I love reading your blog because it really resonates -- there's so much world to live in and I want to experience it all! I came out of high school a year ago and spent the past few months working dreadful jobs in the UK (the only place Australians can get an easy visa) and travelling. So it's especially lovely to revisit Berlin whenever I come to your blog, as well as being damn good reading. And I've got to get to that Melbourne Cafe and judge its authenticity.

Hi Ellie, welcome to the page, happy to have you following. Sounds like you're quite a traveller too, cool! I guess the travelling makes up for the dreadful jobs, or at least I hope so. Thanks for your kind words, and yes, although I haven't been to Australia, I have sources that tell me that what they do at Melbourne Canteen pays quite a good tribute to the mother land :)

Becca; :)

I'm still reading it :) I just feel a bit awkward when I turn the corner on my street and see your brother standing in front of his door. The weirdness of the internet!
