Nyboder
I spent some hours on a cruise ship on Saturday doing a story for work. It was rainy and grey (surprise...), but when I drove back to Vesterbro I came by the old, yellow houses known as Nyboder. They were originally built by Christian IV in the 1640s for the people in the navy, and I've always been fascinated by these small, coloured buildings. They were originally painted patriotically red and white, and I don't know when or why they got their characteristic yellow dress. When they were built, they were placed outside the city limits, whereas today they could hardly be more centered, placed right between Kastellet and Østre Anlæg. Still, they seemed sort of abandoned and outside somehow. Like they were just standing there to be photographed by tourists and not much else. But pretty they were...

Ifølge wikipedia, i hvert fald.
Gad virkelig godt se dem indvendigt!
