Can't wait

Just booked tickets to Berlin in April. Yes! Hope it'll be just in time for this:

Pearly Sunday

I have been looking so much forward to this Sunday. A few weeks ago, Mette, Iben and I decided to have a 'creative day' in the white castle. To eat brunch together and be creative all day with pearls, knitting, drawing or whatever we felt like. So today, when Copenhagen was covered in white, we made lots of coffee, had croissants, put on Spice Girls and Fleet Foxes - and made pearls. Lots. The sun sent in rays through the windows lighting up everything, and when we weren't deeply concentrated on orchestrating the small plastic pearls in patterns, we gossiped and laughed. What a great day!

 White city.
 Concentration...
I spent Saturday night baking chocolate chip cookies (I know, festive weekend!), and they turned out to be surprisingly good...
 Mette's creations.
 I had to copy her...

New in the white castle

I wrote about my toilet after our housewarming. How people decorated the walls out there. Since then, several parties have made sure that the walls are beautiful and ever changing. I love waking up after a party, go out there and see what's new. I know who made some of the things, but mostly I have no idea who's behind the penises, the weird words and the tags...
We're borrowing the table from Kat while she's in Aarhus. It's so nice.
Yesterday we finally got light up in our little hallway. It's been sort of creepy coming home to an empty and dark house and having to go all the way into the living room to light up things. So now we have a very shiny light bulb just at the door!

Testamentet

Today, I saw the best documentary I've seen since watching 'Small Town Ecstasy' about a father's relationship to his sons - and ecstasy. Tonight's film experience wasn't actually supposed to have happened to me as my ticket belonged to someone else. But in the last minute, Mette texted me asking me if I wanted to join her. So we squashed down in the red velvet seats in Grand and watched 'Testamentet'. I can hardly describe it, but it's about this guy having led an extreme life. His mother's family is very rich, but his upbringing has been full of let-downs, lies and greed. And now his rich grandfather is dead leaving a very generous inheritance to his poor, drug-addict grandchildren. Maybe. It's a whirlwind of insane characters you wouldn't have created better in feature films, and it's so gripping, surprising and horrifying. People cried, laughed, clapped and were left with their jaws lying on the floor. Afterwards, the director and the main character came on stage talking about the aftermath of the movie. That almost made as deep an impression as the movie. Wow. Go. Watch. It!
