Last week, I met a bunch of fun people at Statens Museum for Kunst. Some of them I knew already, that is we follow each other on Instagram, and it was fun meeting in real life as well. We had been invited to the museum by Instagram who allowed us into the massive building outside opening hours. Here, we had a private tour, photographed a lot (of course) and chatted about this and that. It was great having the museum to ourselves, locked gates opening up if we wanted to enter a room, and I felt very priviliged having been invited. Plus, looking at art is never dull! (All photos taken with my iPhone, naturally - my Instagram account is here.)
Kristen, who works for Instagram, had flown in from the US, and here she's bossing us around from the other side of a large hall, so she can photograph us.
The meeting between the old outer facade and the new add-on building is pretty marvellous.
Our guide was sweet and enthusiastic, and I digged her style!
Me photographing Rasmus photographing Signe. It was great being in a forum where it was allowed, even encouraged, to photograph all the time, arrange shots and have people pose. Normally, my surroundings can quickly tire of my endless photographing...
Another meta shot, this time of Mette and I.

Jutland + Orø
While at my mom's, we took a few trips, painted the bathroom, ate food, watched films and hung out. It was just what I needed. We also went to the island of Orø where my uncle has a summerhouse with his family. They've built their own house and it was a day of sun, nature, good laughs and an insanely well-crafted burger (not photographed, though - I was busy indulging)!
There was a fleamarket in a barn somewhere between north and middle Jutland.
There was coffee and cake at a small place in Lundø - AE and Henrik looked skeptical but that was just in front of the camera...
The cakes were good, although the chocolate thrown over wasn't necessary.
At home, I made my usual avocado on bread.
My uncle's selfbuilt house in Orø was a dream.
On the grounds are also other houses belonging to my uncle's inlaws. They're all architects, so naturally the buildings are wonderful.
We went out to dip ourselves in the fjord and NP posed as the little mermaid...

In the city
I'm so behind on posting here! I have spent a little week in Jutland hanging out with my mom, her boyfriend and some of the brothers. I have also moved to Copenhagen and am finding myself in a very delightful constant state of utter happiness. But before all that, I met Chris and Iben for dinner at Dyrehaven. Some mandatory confirmation of that;
Iben looked great as always with her sunnies.
After dinner, Chris and I went up to her old apartment - so many memories from there! - and took funny photos.
I know her apartment so well since I've spent a lot of time there over the last few years. Now she lives in Stockholm, and her apartment is inhabited by her brothers. But it still feels like her place.
Two snippets from Elsinore where I went with AE after having spent an entire day cleaning our father's house. We treated ourselves to a bagel and a cake before leaving for Jutland.

Status
Just a quick word; I'm really really happy these days. It's been an amazing summer so far. I feel my decision to leave Berlin is the best thing I've done in a long time. Not that I was unhappy or didn't like Berlin, but being back in Denmark I feel like a missing piece of a puzzle has found its right place inside me. Like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. My relationship to Copenhagen has been somewhat bumpy, and a year ago I would never in a million years have thought I'd be moving back, but I guess I have a good ability to surprise myself. I'm enjoying the warm summer days eating ice cream, laughing with my family, having good times with my amazing friends and just appreciating Copenhagen, the water and colours of the north coast at my father's house, and everything inbetween. On top of that, I've had some good success'es with my writing over the last few months, and that's an energy boost you can't beat. So here's to a great summer, to that right gut feeling, and to the new chapter in Copenhagen that starts next week.

Olufsvej + a goodbye party
The other day, I biked out to Olufsvej in Østerbro with Kathrine. Apart from being a very pictoresque stretch of road, Olufsvej holds an ice cream shop that makes homemade Italian ice cream. It was more than 30 degrees, so we had to try it, and despite the melting factor in the heat, the ice creams were very delicious.
Olufs Is (Olufsvej 6, Østerbro) couldn't look more Copenhagen-cute...
The always lovely Kathrine - and my roomie from today!
On our way back, we walked through Brumleby, a small enclosed part of Østerbro. It was originally built for doctors during a cholera epidemic in Copenhagen in the 1850s. Today, it's full of families, hipster bikes and roses that grow on the walls.
Later, I went to Nørrebro for Nana and Esben's going away party. They're moving to New York for three months (j e a l o u s) and gathered their friends for a backyard grill party.
Nana, a very skillful cake baker and big Instagrammer, of course had to pose for other big Instagrammers' lenses with her beautiful strawberry cheesecake.
