Two

Last week was the first one back to work in the new year. And man it was hard to get back into gear after the amount of relaxation that'd been going on over Christmas. While trying to work, I managed to squeeze in some of the good things;
On Tuesday, I met Chris for breakfast at the new Lillebror (Jarmers Plads 1, Indre By). Chris is now also living in Copenhagen, and we share the same city for the first time since 2008 - what a treat! Lillebror was alright, the coffee was amazing, but the food was a little too simple, I needed some avocado on the scrambled eggs, for instance. And the décor was unusually boring. But the company and the service was great.
Later, we went for a second coffee at one of my favourite places; Democratic Coffee (Krystalgade 15, Indre By).
On Wednesday, I didn't do much else but take a walk around Nørrebro clearing my head and listening to music on my phone. It was a sunny day, and then there was a horrifying attack in Paris that took over everything.
I tried to work all the while checking the news constantly. How my heart aches for those who died that day.
A storm hit Denmark over the weekend, and Kathrine and I braved the winds on Saturday to meet up with Kristiane for an early trip to the movies (I don't think I've ever been to the cinema at 11,30 in the morning before...) I can highly recommend 'Force Majeure', what a great film! Afterwards, Kristiane and I met up with Chris for lunch (breakfast for me) at Greasy Spoon (Studiestræde 14, Indre By). Yum!
Sunday morning I got up early, which was a little hard after a night of drinking red wine, but once I'd had my first flat white at Coffee Collective in Torvehallerne with AnCa, everything was better. It was kind of great getting up so early on a Sunday and have coffee while the city woke up around us. Plus, every visit to Torvehallerne is a feast, both for the eyes and for the gut.
Hope your week was great, too!
