Rainy Distortion + Nørrebro

Yesterday we defied the rain and went to Skuespilhuset to attend a Live Mixtape performance by the people behind Distortion. Three stages with three acts performing at the same time - one act plays a song, and then one of the others take over. That way the music never stops... Unfortunately the rain kept tumbling out of the sky, and after an hour we decided to go home, freezing and soaked to the bone. I have today off (=heaven), and after seeing an apartment in Vesterbro, I met up with Chris again for some breakfast. We headed to Nørrebro and ate at N in Blågårdsgade. Afterwards we went down ultra hip Jægersborggade right by Jagtvej and looked at cool signs, beautiful bread and nice people. We also saw someone get arrested - just to remind us that we were in fact in Nørrebro... When we went through Assistens Kirkegård we ran into Mette and stood there talking for a while. I must admit I'm falling for Nørrebro. Who would've thought?

An ex-building somewhere between Frederiksberg and Nørrebro.
I'm in love with Skuespilhuset. It's definitely one of my favourite newer buildings in Copenhagen. Probably because of the dark stone in combination with the slightly coloured windows. Nice done.
 Giving up.
 Monday brunch.
Chris made a friend while we ate.
Obama Hope-poster artist, Shepard Fairey painted the wall at Copenhagen's Ground Zero - Jagtvej 69 where Ungdomshuset once stood. He came and painted a symbol of peace, but it took less than 24 hours before someone painted it over. Later he was attacked during his own fernissage in Kødbyen. Well done, DK.
Although I'm not a fan of self-hyped chefs I will give Meyer a point for decorating his bakery in Jægersborggade in late 60s colours. I want that wallpaper.

 The Coffee Collective.
Impressive hairdo in Assistens Kirkegård.

Gode fotos, fine ord. LIKE. Forresten spottede jeg dig i dag - tidligt i morges, cyklende forbi mig på Sønder Boulevard. Hah!
