Best of Berlin #4: Winter
I know my previous Best of Berlin-posts (read them here or here or here) have been in Danish, but I came across a bunch of photos from the cold months in Berlin, that made me laugh out loud several times and sent warm waves of happiness through me. So here it goes; Berlin from December through February:
The interns went crazy at the Christmas party...
The friends went crazy at my 23rd birthday. I was sick, but drank it away and still remember the party as one of the funniest I had during my year in Berlin.
Christmas holiday in Denmark. We took a walk on the coast one of the most beautiful days of the winter.
Back in Berlin it snowed like crazy. The photo is from the first day of snow - December 1st. Although I genuinely hate snow, I remember the day as magical as I walked through the streets of Mitte with Beach House on the iPod, happy because I had been doing an interesting story for the magazine. And the snow was a visible sign of the seasons changing in the city I adored.
Nina and I went exploring in an abandoned cigarette factory in Pankow. Or actually it wasn't abandoned since they're renovating it or tearing it down. But we trespassed and had to constantly make sure nobody saw us, so it was kind of fun.
In the middle of January, we went to a club in a basement in Wedding. A huge industrial elevator took us down, and people were raving to crazy techno. Interesting.
Moabit. I remember all of the Berlin winter days sunny like that.
In the end of January, Amalie and Kathrine came for a weekend of fun and zen and partying.
AnCa and I found an apartment together in Kreuzberg, and everything was happiness.
...and cleaning. The second half of the adventure began when we moved in, just when February took over from January.

VH Silie
Hej Silie,
